WALKS
Winder is Sedbergh's local hill which dominates the north side of the town. Behind it lies the huge mass of the quiet Howgill fells. Winder is an excellent walk for all fitness levels and on a clear day there are lovely views of the Dales, the Lakes and out to Morecambe Bay. For local walking routes click here

Sedbergh is the perfect location for those that want to explore the area by mountain, road or electric bikes. There is easy access to to quiet lanes or challenging moorland and great off-road tracks.

With miles of diverse water conditions challenging every skill level on the River Rawthey or nearby Killington Lake, Clough and Lune. Sedbergh is a paddler's playground for the canoeist, kayaker or dinghy sailor.
